Chester’s software gained widespread attention as soon as it was released, just as expected. It was shared, downloaded, and reposted widely. 

Alexander invested some money into it and hired people to do post–release maintenance. The profits were immense, and Chester’s share was the largest. Conservatively, he could earn 70 

million dollars. 

Everyone was genuinely happy for him as there was hope for a comeback. As they celebrated, they drank so much that they were constantly refilling each other’s glasses…. 

Alexander was drunk by now. He demanded Chester make a call to bring Catherine over for 

him to see. 

Chester shoved Alexander aside to let him cool off on his own. 

“Don’t take things personally with Louis. No matter how capable he is, he’s ultimately doomed to fail. What you earned this time is enough for him to chase after you for a lifetime. 

“Meg, have a baby for me, Meg…” 

The private room fell into a deathly silence. 

Alexander rambled on while drunk. On a whim, Ryan recorded a video of him and posted it in their group chat. 

“Are you crazy?” 

Joshua tried to stop him, but Ryan shook him off. “Don’t mess with me. Let him see how awful he looks when he sobers up tomorrow. He says he doesn’t care, but now, he’s drunkenly talking about wanting to have a baby with her… How shameless.” 

Chester took a sip of his drink when his phone rang–it was the video Ryan had recorded. In the video, Alexander was sprawled out on the couch, looking hazy and drunk. “Meg, have a baby for me. Chester already has one… I want one too.” 

Chester’s lips curved slightly as he watched the video. Then, he turned off his phone and set his glass down. 

“You all keep going. I’m leaving now.” 

“You want to leave? It’s still early!” 

“My wife just gave birth and is still in the hospital. Her wound hasn’t healed, and our daughter has just been born. I’m sorry, but I can’t drink with you all until morning.” With that, Chester grabbed his coat. 

“You’re the star of the night, Mr. Whitmore. You’re the CEO again!” 

Chapter 50 

“Mr. Whitmore, just two more drinks. Hey, Mr. Whitmore! Hey, hey!” 

Chester left without looking back. He put on his coat and called a driver to take him to the 

hospital. 

Louis had been thrown out the previous time and couldn’t get in again. He stayed outside the hospital, staring at the light by Angelina’s window as it dimmed. He didn’t want to leave. 

Louis knew Angelina. Unless Chester used some form of coercion, she would never willingly have his baby and endure hard times with him. 

Either he coerced her with a debt of gratitude, or it was something else. It wouldn’t have been her choice. 

Louis couldn’t help but hate himself for not being able to get her out of her difficult situation. 

He received a phone call, and the caller said, “Hey, Chester’s software went viral.” 

Louis took a deep breath and glanced at the data. “Damn it!” 

“I told you to do something. Didn’t you do anything?”
