Chapter 60 

David smiled. “Alright, don’t worry. No one will lay a finger on your woman as long as she’s willing to be with you and keep her distance from Chester. Who would go to the trouble of messing with a woman?” 

“Never harm her, no matter what.” 

“Got it. But you should be careful; Chester might suspect you. 

“He already does, but I’m not afraid.” 

David hung up the phone and stared at it while yawning. 

William leaned back on the leather couch, half–asleep. “It’s so pathetic to live and die for a woman. A man should prioritize his career, just like you.” 

“That woman is just materialistic. She’ll come as long as there’s money. If she doesn’t, it just means the money isn’t enough.” 

“Materialistic women are common. Look around me–which one of them isn’t?” 

William pinched the chin of the woman who was massaging his shoulders. “Mr. Prescott…” 

“Are you materialistic? Do you like money?” 

“No, I like you, Mr. Prescott….” 

William kissed the woman’s bright red lips. 

David also held two women in his arms, and his gaze deepened. “Mr. Prescott, you’ll have to back me up if things go wrong. 

“Don’t worry. He thinks he can make a comeback with a lousy software, but that’s impossible. The real problem is that Louis failed to do his job properly. Next time, I’ll put in more effort. I’ll be the first to stop Chester from making a comeback.” 

David finally eased up a little. “No matter what, I can only stay here for now. Lean’t go back to the country.” 

“Sure, my place here is your haven,” David said. 

Angelina had already fallen asleep by the time Chester arrived. 

It was a hot summer night, with mosquitoes buzzing around. The air conditioning in the hospital made it a little more bearable. Angelina was covered with a thin blanket and sleeping restlessly, with her round little feet sticking out. 

Chester covered her properly, then took off his coat and lay beside her, taking up only a small

space. 

He glanced at the data before closing his eyes. 

He then held Angelina’s slender arm and fell asleep. 

As dawn broke, Emily slapped Chester on the back mercilessly. 

“Wake up! It’s so cramped. Look at what you’ve done to Angelina!” Chester didn’t dare get up. He realized something was off with him. 

Angelina also felt it, and her face turned red as she stared at him, as if asking, “Why aren’t you getting up?” 

“The little one is awake. Look, Chester is taking up all your space, Angelina. He’s an adult, yet he’s still acting so irresponsible.” 

Emily shot him a glare after saying that. “Get up quickly.” 

“Emily, just a moment,” said Angelina. 

“What are you waiting for, Chester? You’ve taken up all the space.”
