Chapter 119
Perhaps because he could see they were truly exhausted, Nolan let them go home that night around 9 PM.
After a whole day of exhaustion, Maggie took a bath when she got home and went to bed early.
The next day, there was an issue at Wilson Tech that required their attention.
Maggie and Johnny went there that afternoon to handle the matter.
Upon arrival at Wilson Tech, after briefly discussing technical issues, Rex and Yves walked in, escorted by a staff member.
Seeing Maggie, both Rex and Yves were slightly surprised.
Yves raised an eyebrow. “She’s actually an employee of Wilson Tech? What a coincidence.”
Rex shrugged.
He didn’t even know her well enough to know if she worked for Wilson Tech.
A staff member of Wilson Tech overheard their conversation and added, “Are you talking about Miss Miller? She’s not an employee here. She’s from Cole’s technical team, here to help with a system issue today.”
Noticing that someone seemed to be watching her, Maggie turned to glance over.
“She immediately recognized Rex and Yves as the two who had been discussing her at the auction.
She glanced at them briefly before calmly averting her eyes.
Yves chuckled. “Wow, she’s ignoring us.”
Rex, however, wasn’t interested in talking about Maggie anymore.
He was about to speak when Julia walked in from outside.
Upon seeing them, Julia paused, slightly surprised.
“Miss Brown.”
Upon seeing Julia, Rex’s expression changed, losing the indifference he had shown when Yves mentioned Maggie earlier.
Julia nodded, her face neutral. She greeted, “Mr. Hardin, Mr. Jolly.”
Rex approached her actively, “Miss Brown works at Wilson Tech?”
“No,” Julia replied. “I specialize in algorithms, and recently I wanted to improve myself, so I came here to learn from everyone.”
Although Rex was a native of the capital, he rarely stayed in the city.
It was only recently that he had returned.

Chapter 119
Since meeting Julia, he had heard a lot of discussions about her in their circles.
He had learned that she was exceptionally talented, graduating from university at 18, and even enrolled as a Ph.D. student at
a top–tier global university.
This resume made him feel inferior.
Moreover, he had heard that she excelled in racing and esports, to the point of winning awards.
In addition, she enjoyed adventure activities like rock climbing and skydiving.
After learning more about Julia, Rex found her to be even more alluring and enigmatic than he had initially thought.
He was even more interested in her now.
Too bad…
She was with Franklin.
Thinking this, he didn’t get too close to Julia, maintaining a respectful distance. “Miss Brown is truly diligent and hardworking.
Julia replied, “Mr. Hardin, you flatter me. It’s precisely because I’ve realized my own shortcomings that I’m eager to learn more.”
Julia was so excellent and humble that Rex admired her even more.
Rex and Yves were at Wilson Tech for work, as their company HJ Tech had a partnership with Wilson Tech.
In fact, Cole, Wilson Tech, and HJ Tech were working on the same project, but Cole and Wilson Tech were collaborating on system technology, while
HJ Tech and Wilson Tech were working on materials.
When Rex and his team arrived, another project manager from Wilson Tech, Manager Jack, came to greet them.
They walked towards Maggie and Johnny.
Manager Jack smiled and asked, “Mr. Gray, are these two-”
Johnny raised an eyebrow upon seeing them. “Ah, it’s Mr. Hardin, Mr. Jolly, and Miss Brown.”
Maggie had only glanced at Rex earlier and didn’t pay attention to the people at the door, not realizing Julia was there.
Upon hearing Johnny say “Miss Brown,” she immediately guessed it was Julia.
However, she didn’t raise her head and continued to discuss technical matters with the staff.
Manager Jack smiled. “Do Mr. Gray and Mr. Hardin know each other?”
“Yes,” Johnny replied.
After all, they were all from the elite circles in the capital, so it was natural to know each other.

However, their paths were different, and they weren’t very familiar with each other.
Rex and his team greeted Johnny, then walked off with Manager Jack to discuss work matters.
Julia stayed with Johnny.
She naturally saw Maggie.
But after a brief glance, she lost interest and returned her attention to Johnny. “Mr. Gray, did you just arrive?”
Johnny was capable enough, and being a student of Nolan, even though he could tell Johnny was somewhat biased against her due to Maggie, he still wanted to build a good relationship with him.
After all, once she became Nolan’s student too, they would be interacting more and more.
“I’ve been here for about half an hour,” Johnny replied, glancing up while taking notes. “Miss Brown seems to have been here much longer.”
Julia replied, “I arrived at Wilson Tech this morning, but after a busy day, I was a bit tired, so I went upstairs to have some water and rest for a bit.”
This “going upstairs to have water and rest” obviously referred to going to Franklin’s office.

Upon hearing this, Johnny paused, his tone becoming even more indifferent. “I see. So, Mr. Wilson is also at Wilson Tech?”
“No, he’s at his main company.”
So, even if Franklin wasn’t there, she could still freely go in and out of his office?
Did this mean Franklin had no secrets from her?

Alguém saberia dizer o que houve com o livro, sem atualização a tempos...
Nada de episódio novo?...
Does the book stop? When are we going to get a new chapter?...
Olá, A história parou no capítulo 288? O nome do livro me gerou mais expectativas, quando ela realmente vai desprezar os dois e brilhar???...
Everytime I read new updates I am hoping to see Maggie completely moving on with her life not always checking where Franklin is up to with Julia. I think everyone reading this story by now understand that Franklin doesn't care about Julia. So what is the point of always pointing out how indifferent Franklin is to Maggie and how attentive he is towards Julia....
What does Helen mean Maggie is still married? Married to whom? Franklin has made it clear that he doesn't consider her anything and is flaunting his relationship with Julia for anyone who has eyes to witness it.So Maggie should wait for the divorce to be finalized to date. Isn't that double standards. And Franklin is dragging the divorce deliberately since divorced or not he does what he wants without any consequences. Really women are emotionally oppressed even authors only know that point of view 😕...
I feel sad for Maggie and all married women who have to endure emotional abuse with no end in sight. By the look of it,Franklin doesn't want to divorce Maggie for whatever reason. Either the reason is good or bad, Maggie shouldn't be humiliated like this just because she loves him. And the grandmother should be helping her get a divorce not emotionally blackmailing her, if she really cared about her. Franklin is using Maggie's love for the grandmother to abuse her. Is really loving people wrong? Author this one-sided hurt is not right. Let Maggie move on with dignity. It shouldn't end up with Franklin professing his love for her and her accepting it....
