Just as Maggie was about to reply, Isabella’s voice came through the phone. “Goodbye, Aunty Julie.” 

Maggie lowered her gaze. They really were with Julia.

Before she could hang up, Franklin beat her to it. 

“Is something wrong? Are they not coming back?” Grandma Wilson said angrily, “Frank is really– 

“No.” Maggie replied with a faint smile. “There’s just traffic at this hour. They’ll be here in 20 minutes.” 

When Grandma Wilson heard this, her expression softened a little, though she was still upset. “Well, let’s eat first and not wait for them. He deserves to eat the leftovers!” 

The butler, standing nearby, smiled and reminded, “Miss Isabella is still in the car… 

Grandma Wilson paused, then snorted. Fine, fine. Since it’s for my little great–granddaughter’s sake, I’ll let him off this time!? 

Maggie smiled at her but didn’t say anything. 

Twenty minutes later, Franklin and his daughter finally arrived. 

Grandma Wilson didn’t look at Franklin but warmly waved to Isabella, smiling, “Isabella, you’re back!”
