Apprehended By My Mate novel Chapter 59

I pull away when I hear the sound of Grace calling both of us wondering where we are. We don't say anything as we walk back into our room to see Grace up.

"Let's go and get you some breakfast my princess." Conner picks her up and I follow behind them. We walk into the kitchen and I sit down and the both do their daily song and dance routine Lucy told me about.

"We wash our hands and grab our plates, remembering to grab our spoons." I laugh as they both grab everything they need for breakfast.

"We grab the milk or the juice making sure our cups are filled." Conner pours us a glass each and smiles at me.

"We grab the apron and tie it tight, making sure you strike a pose." Conner strikes a pose and I find myself laughing my head off while Grace claps and joins in.

"We grab our food and take a seat, already to dig right in." I am laughing so hard that I have tears in my eyes and my stomach is hurting. The song makes no sense and the actions are beyond stupid but it is funny to watch. I can understand why Lucy and Karen said breakfast was never a bore.

I wipe my eyes as my laughter dies down. I look to see both Conner and Grace looking at me as if I am crazy. Maybe I am, but I haven't enjoyed breakfast this much in a long time.

"You two are just precious." I say on a giggle wondering how I ended up with such a caring and unique mate. My daughter smiles happily as she eat her food.

"Good morning." Karen comes in with a tired Lucy trailing behind.

"Oh did we miss the morning show." Lucy says and I spit out all the water in my mouth as I start laughing again.

"I think her meds are playing up." Karen says and Conner shakes his head. I calm down again taking a deep breath.

"No my meds are fine. Why didn't you tell me how stupid there song and dance was? It was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life." I shake my head eating some more food.

"Well we thought it would be better to watch than explain." Lucy says as she sit down at the table with us. During breakfast I was told Grace was getting her own room and today we were painting it. So after breakfast is done I go and get changed walking to the room across from us which will be Grace's room.

"Momma run." Grace yells but I am not quick enough. Conner throughs the paint all over us causing both Grace and I to scream and laugh.

"You didn't." I say wiping pink paint off my face.

"I did." He grins looping his thumbs through his jean lop holes.

"Daddy hug." Grace squeals and Conner takes a step back.

"No." He holds up his hands and I just laugh as his eyes widen yet again.

"Yes, I think we should give daddy a big pink hug." I run up to Conner and Grace and I give him a huge hug covering him in pink paint.
