My eyes are swimming with tear due to the overwhelming emotions I am feeling for Conner. I have never felt so loved by someone. He has been teaching me what it is like to be loved and I am starting to see that what I had with Derek wasn't love. Love is warm and pure. It makes your heart beat faster when you see your love walk through the door. It is not fearing every action they take and what Derek taught me.
"Clare you have no idea what it means to me when you say that. When I found you in our bathroom I was so scared. I was so scared that I was going to lose you before I could tell you how I really feel." He smiles up at me even though behind his eyes I can still see sadness.
"I love you Clare, I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you. I love you and Grace so much that I don't see a life without you. I love you Clare with every cell in my body." I am know crying as he brushes his lips against mine.
The kiss is slow and passionate as we each express what we are feeling in the kiss. Conner pulls back to soon resting his forehead against mine.
"I love you." He whispers again wiping the tears under my eyes.
"Thankyou, thankyou." I jump off the swing and into his arms. I am lying on top of him when I grab his face kissing him the kiss is slow and sweet causing my insides to turn to liquid.
Conner softly bites my lip causing a soft moan to escape me allowing his tongue to touch mine. Conner doesn't rush the kiss and takes his time exploring my mouth, I move my hand from his face and gently run my finger through his soft dark hair I forget where we are and who is around us until we both hear a stubble cough causing us both to pull away. I feel my face heating up when I look to see a mother from the pack looking down on us.
I quickly get of Conner brushing my clothes and start to notice how interesting the ground is. I hear Conner chuckle and I look to see him getting off the ground with a pink tinge in his cheeks as he rubs the back of his neck.
"Sorry." Conner says still rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's ok Beta next time maybe not the park." I watch the mother call he child and they both walk away. I am so embarrassed that I don't even look at Conner until he starts laughing. I face him and shake my head.
"It's not funny." I say while Conner keeps laughing. He faces me and sops laughing. My face still fell hot from embarrassment.
"Is Dinner almost ready?" I was meant to help Ivy cook today but I guess that won't be happening.
"Yeah, Ivy came up before and she thought you should sleep." He pulls me to his chest as he smiles down kissing me a kiss.
"Ok, just let me go bathroom and we can head down." I rise up on my toes and kiss his nose before going into the bathroom. While I am washing my hands I notice how happy I look. Compared to this morning my eyes are full of light and happiness. I am smiling at myself and for the first time since coming here I am at true happiness.
I leave the bathroom with a smile still on my face which seems to brighten up when I see Conner waiting for me.
"Ready?" I nod my head and we both leave the room. As we walk down the stairs I can hear people talking and my wolf suddenly becomes alert causing my heart to skip a beat. I ignore the feeling knowing it is probably nothing. Conner and I walk in hand and hand and we stop when I see the back of a man talking to Alpha Felix. The man is older as his hair is starting to grey at the roots. I watch his back stiffen as he slowly turns around.
