"She found her true mate." Suzan starts to tear up as I smile and nod.

Suzan and I talk to each other while Felix and the rest go and visit Alpha Jackson. Grace ends up falling asleep so I take her up into Clare own room. Once Grace is in bed I collect Clare gentle taking her from her mother's lap into my arms.

"Conner." She mummers in her sleep and she snuggles into my chest. I take her to her room putting her to bed. I kiss her forehead before leaving both my girls to sleep.

I walk back down stairs to see Suzan sitting on the lounge where I left her.

"How has she been doing." I sigh running my fingers through my hair.

"It hasn't been easy. So much has happened and she is working through everything, however coming back here I am scare to what it is going to do to her. I lean back in the chair and I can feel Suzan watching me.

"Can you tell me what she suffered." I close my eyes before opening them again.

"She suffers from PTSD, depression, anxiety, panic attacks. They all stem from her PTSD. She also suffered from eating disorder when she first arrived at our pact. She couldn't keep any food down and when she did eat it wasn't much." I can tell Suzan is trying hard not to cry so I sit next to her and wrap my arms around the frail women.

"It's was all his fault." I know who she is referring to and I hope to God that Derek doesn't find out that we are here.

The front door opens and I watch everyone come in along with Alpha Jackson. I stand up and walk over to introduce myself.

"Jackson, this is my Beta Conner, Clare's mate." I can feel him judging me as I hold out my hand. You can feel the tension in the room even after we have shaken hands.

"Where is Clare?"

"She is in her room asleep. She had a stressful day so she went to bed." I can still feel the Alpha watching me and even I feel intimidated by him.

"Don't touch me, don't touch me." Clare is screaming trying to get out of my arms but I don't move.

"It's Conner Clare." She doesn't wake so I extend my nails and I watch as they lengthen.

"What the hell are you doing?" Alpha Jackson yells and Felix has to hold him back. I close my eyes before digging my nails into her thigh. Clare doesn't scream, but her eyes snap open as she tries to breath. I hate when I have to hurt her, but it is the only way to get her awake when she is so far inside her head.

"Conner." She sobs as she stops thrashing around the place.

"Shh, I am here, everything is safe. Nothing can hurt you." I whisper to her as she begins to calm down. Clare is so out of it that once she is calmed down she falls back to sleep in my arms.

I lean back on the bed letting out a breath I was holding. Everyone is still in the doorway waiting for me to say something.
