"Does this happen all the time?" Alpha Jackson ask and I nod my head.

"Yeah, but being back here are making her nightmares worse." I look to Bill and I can see guilt written all over his face.

"I think we all should get some rest for tonight. We have had a long trip and I am sure that we will all need to be well rested for the morning." Felix says and everyone leaves the room. Ivy comes back in with Grace passing her to me.

"She is going to be ok Conner." Ivy speaks as she leaves. I lay Clare down and get under the covers with Grace falling asleep hoping that we can get through the week with little amount of damage.

Clare

I wake up in the morning wrapped in warmth. I open my eyes to see Conner with his arms wrapped around me with Grace sleeping in the middle of us. I smile to myself brushing hair out of his eyes. I slowly get out of bed and make my way downstairs.

When I get downstairs I find my father cooking breakfast with Alpha Jackson sitting at our table.

"Clare." I freeze when I see him. He looks older from the last time that I saw him. He stands up but doesn't make his way over to me. I can see him inspecting my body and I know that he can see all the scars on my body. It takes me a second to realise who is in front of me as Derek's old lessons settle in again.

"Alpha." I whisper casting my eyes to the floor.

"Clare, what did he do to you?" I don't answer as I keep my eyes down-casted, and my shoulders slumped.

"Nothing Alpha." I know him I am lying, but coming back here is bringing back all my lessons that I have tried so hard to break out of.

"Clare you don't need to lie to me. Can you please look at me." I obey his request looking up at Jackson and gasp when I see how close he is to me. Before I ca take a step back he quickly grabs my face looking and the ugly scar running along my horrid face.

I somehow manage to clear my mind for a second, long enough to tell Alpha Jackson to get Conner before the darkness consume. Everything is down a narrow tunnel with only one end goal. Death.

"Clare." I feel my hand being unlatched from my arm. As sparks run through my face.

"Clare listen to me. I need you to find my voice." My tunnel starts to close as the end is so close I can almost reach out and touch it.

"Find my voice Clare, find me." I am almost there just a few more steps. As I go to take the final step into darkness everything freezes. My tunnel of negativity starts to widen and the place become brighter. I start to see clearly as the fog of darkness slowly lifts from my mind.

As my mind becomes clearer the impact of my actions sink in. I start to feel the sting in my arm and I gasp grabbing hold of it trying to ease the pain.

"It's ok Clare." I look away from to arm to Conner who is sitting in front of me. I see a medical kit next to him and he nods his hand at my arm. I slowly let go as Conner tends to my self-inflicted wounds.
