Today Conner went with everyone to the pack house so they can talk about me. I was offered to go put I knew I wouldn't be able to step outside the house. Conner told me that if anything happened, call him straight away.
"Mum are you ok?" Mum has been coughing for minutes straight and I am starting to worry.
"Fine. Just get my medicine." I walk over to where all her medicines are kept and find the one she needs. When I go to pour her some I notice she is out. Mum is still coughing which is really starting to worry me.
"Mum you have no more." My ways her hand dismissing it, but I won't have it. I walk up into her room and find her prescription before walking back down stairs.
"Clare- where- are-you- going." Mu coughs between each word.
"I am going your get your medication. Before you say no, I can see you need it. It is time I be brave Mum." Mum shakes her head while I give it a Kiss.
"Just look after Grace for me ok. I will be back soon" I give Grace a kiss on the head before opening up the front door.
I look outside and try not to have a panic attack. The shops are not far from here. A short trip. I keep repeating to myself over and over again.
I am doing this for mum. I am doing this for mum.
I chant over and over again as I take my first step outside. I take a deep breath trying to get rid of the ache in my chest. I begin to walk, but every time a sound is made I turn in the direction. I keep my head down as I quickly walk making sure that I make no eye contact with anyone.
I start to become paranoid that someone is following me. Every time I look behind me I see no one. I stick to the foot path but every time I hear a stick crack in the woods I start to freak out.
I look behind me again to make sure that no one is following me and I let out a sigh when I see no one.
You are just scaring yourself Clare. He isn't here.
I was dizzy and had no idea where I was. I felt sluggish like I do after a panic attack. I try to open my eyes, but they feel too heavy. I try to move around, but I find myself immobile. My heart start to pound in my chest as flashes drift across my dark landscape of what happened today. I begin to panic and my eyes snap open as I remember seeing his face.
I gasp as I try to move, but that causes a burning sensation on my wrist. I look down to see I am bound to a chair with silver. Tears start to fall down my face as I struggle to get out of the chair. My body is shaking as violent tremors course through my body.
The place is dark and the only light is coming through the door. I hear heavy footsteps and that is when I really begin to panic. The door handle jingles and I take in a short sharp breath. As the door creaks open and I am greeted with green eyes that have scared me my whole life.
"Hello Clare." His deep husking voice causes my heart to stop beating and my brain to stop functioning. He takes slow steps towards me and my body registers the situation I am in. I begin to fight my way out of the chair as Derek closes in on me taking his time.
"No let me go, please." I scream as my wrist split open and blood pours from them onto the floor.
"Why would I let you go Clare? You are my mate." He smiles and I cringe while I try to kick him. He back hands me across the face causing the chair and me to fall to the floor. My head bangs on the floor with a sickening crack that blurs my vision and knocks any air out of me. I can feel liquid pooling at my head as Derek pulls me back up so I am facing him.
