"You are a very special girl Clare." I say knowing that my little girl is special indeed. We both sit in silence as the others in the room start to wake

"Any news yet." Suzan ask and I shake my head. I bang my head against the wall behind me wishing for someone to come out and at least tell me she is fine.

"Can I please speak to Clare's mate." My head looks in the direction of the doctor who is looking around the room. I shallow the lump in my throat before speaking.

"Is she alright?" She looks to me and nods her head.

"Yes she should be fine. It will take a while to heal, but she is fine. If you could come to my office I need to talk to you about a few things." I stand up before passing Grace to Ivy.

"Can you-"

"Go Conner." I nod my head and walk in the direction the doctor went. I walk into her office and take a seat in the chair in front of her desk. I let out a shaky sigh hoping that the news isn't as bad as my mind is making up.

"Before I start I want to say that she is fine. I have treated all her injuries and tended to all her wounds. Most of them will scar, the deeper lashes on her back are going to scar and so will her ribs." I sink further into my chair as guilt eats away at me.

"Clare had internal bleeding that we were able to stop. We however did come across a few complications." The doctors comes and sits in the chair next to me and takes my hands in her small one.

"Clare was sexually abused by three different men. From the damage they caused we can tell that they also tell that all three also took her in wolf form. Due to the damage they cased it may be harder for Clare to become pregnant with another child and if she does become pregnant there is a high chance of miscarriage due to the damage." I feel tears running down my face as I try to keep myself from breaking down into a sobbing mess.

"Is there anything else." I whisper as my voice shakes.

"I am fine." I mumble as I stand and stretch. I rub my eyes getting rid of the sleep that I was peacefully enjoying.

"Conner your wolf needs to run. This stress is not going to help anyone." I know he is telling the truth, but I don't have the heart to leave Clare alone. My wolf is urging me to go for a run even though he wants to stay with his mate.

"Ok. I guess it wouldn't hurt." I lean over giving Clare a lingering kiss before I leave shifting into my wolf and going for a run.

I know I am asleep and I am hoping I can stay asleep longer to avoid the pain. However I cannot stop myself from waking up to a nightmare I just want to end. I was dreaming that Conner found me and took me away, but I know the chance of that happening is non-existence.
