Oliver continued to walk down the hallway and I realized we were in the Alpha wing. Levin's room was close by, but I had a feeling that his room was not Oliver's destination. He stopped at the end of the hallway where a big window was where you could see over the pack land.

"When Levin told me about your family and also about you being special I knew that my theory could actually be right."

My eyes widened because once again someone had taken the liberty to talk about my past and my personality without me consenting to it.

Oliver's eyes clouded with guilt as he probably realized my thoughts and whispered "I'm sorry Sophia."

Numb I just nodded my head, because what else was there to do? I could not change it anymore.

Oliver sighed and said carefully, "Anyway, because you're a highly sensitive person my theory was that maybe you felt the mate bond with Levin because he looks exactly like your mate would."

All my worries about Oliver knowing my dark past and my other secrets vanished as soon as he told me his theory.

"Nathan..", I whispered his name the first time, tasting so good on my lips, and Oliver nodded.

"Nathan and Levin are twins, Nathan being the first born and expected to be Alpha."

Everything made perfectly sense now. It could actually be true that because of me being highly sensitive I felt attracted to Levin and it made actually so much sense why I could feel the tingles with him, but after him accepting Oliver not anymore. I had felt such a deep connection to the wolf in my dreams and the electric currents he had made me feel were so much stronger than anything I had experienced with Levin. And his fur had been black, so it could be Nathan.

Still something did not add up and I could feel myself preparing for the worst when I asked "Where is Nathan now?"

Oliver winced and I knew that the information he would now give me would probably shatter me.

"He was kidnapped over twenty years ago and never found."

"W..What?", I stuttered out already feeling like the rug had been pulled from under my feet.

Pain was evident in Oliver's blue eyes when he told me, "He was kidnapped over 20 years ago, right out of his room.", Oliver pointed to the door to the left of us.

My gaze followed him and I knew I had to enter his room in order to know for sure if Nathan was my mate. I was almost certain that Levke and Lennart had left everything in his room the same, meaning I would be able to still scent him. My wolf whimpered in my mind not at all ready to lose another mate. My breathing started to accelerate and not in a good way. I could not do it, I was not ready to face that my only chance at happiness had been taken from me once again.

"He's still alive.", Oliver suddenly said as if being able to notice my inner turmoil.

And his last emotions panic, fear and dread.

I could not controll what was happening to me anymore as a sob rose from my lips and I sank to my knees.

My breathing was coming way too fast, but I could not find it in me to fight it.

I was too exhausted, too overwhelmed with what I just discovered, too frightened what it would mean.

I could make out Oliver's voice behind me, but it sounded too far away.

I felt numb, but I knew I had to tell him.

"You were right.", a voice I barely recognized as my own whispered and finally, finally the darkness took over.

"What were you thinking telling her about your theory?", I could hear Levin's angry voice and tried to open my eyes.
