I did not want to be the one at fault that Levin and Oliver could not hold their mating ceremony. I did not want to be the one at fault that Silas and Milena could not explore their new bond.

It was not fair.

The old Sophia would avoid this confrontation in order for nobody to notice her weak personality and the tears streaming down her face. However, the new Sophia embraced her highly sensitive self and wanted to speak about her feelings.

My heart had already accelerated and my breathing came in an irregular rhythm, but I did not care, I had to express my feelings and mind.

So I took the steps into the dining hall and almost instantly all eyes were on me.

"What happened?", Silas immediately wanted to know and rose from his seat.

"I don't want you two to wait.", I adressed Milena and Silas and noticed Milena's eyes fill with guilt as all of them realized that I had heard their previous conversation.

"Sophia, we didn't...", Levin had started to say, but I interrupted him instantly, "And I don't want you two to call off the mating ceremony."

"Sophia, I think they all just...", Levke started to softly tell me, but once again I cut someone off midsentence, "I know that all of you are just trying to be considerate, but I didn't ask for that."

"Tonight I want to celebrate Levin's and Oliver's mating, because I'm excited and happy for both of you that you're finally able to start your life together. And tomorrow I want to congratulate my big brother and best friend that they've completed their mating. I could've never wished for someone better for you Silas, or for you Milena. But all of you are just thinking of me, about my feelings and how I'm going to deal with everything, but honestly I'm okay! It makes me feel guilty and sad that you don't think about your needs first and that you all think I wouldn't be okay with you taking the next step."

I took a deep breath. "I'm trying really trying to get better and all of you have helped me tremendously over the years or weeks since I've known you, but you're not helping me by deciding on your own what's good for me, that's my decision."

All of them held now guilty expressions, but I was not finished, "So to make it clear: I want Levin and Oliver to have the mating ceremony tonight and I want for Silas and Milena to continue the mating process. You're all important to me and I want you guys to be happy, because your happiness is important to me too."

With that I turned around and fortunatelly nobody followed me. I still had my bowl full of chili, but I was not hungry anymore so I returned to the kitchen.

I released a deep breath when I found myself alone in the kitchen and a smile spread on my lips. Although I was not okay with how they were deciding things over my head, I also knew that they just cared about me and wanted to protect me. I loved them all fiercely for it. However, I was also very proud of myself to have spoken my mind. I did not want them to stop everything they were doing just because it could make me feel uncomfortable. I wanted them to express their worries and trust myself to know how I was feeling about certain things.

Apparently it worked, because she blinked and her eyes turned back to their original colour.

"I...Why did I see an eyeball?", Sia asked me confused and shocked I stared at her.

Then I remembered Oliver talking about his sister being a witch.

"Right, Oliver told us about you being a witch."

She released a big breath and mumbled, "Witch in training, because the old bat can't be bothered into making me into a full one."

I had no idea what she was talking about other than she was not fully educated, but I did not let that influence me. She had just seen the eyeball so that had to have meant something.
