Mate my wolf joyously let me know and I felt my eyes widen. It was really her - the woman of my dreams right here in front of me. I felt my whole face soften for her when I realized she was the reason that made me feel whole again for the first time in forever.
She was even more breathtaking in real life. Her hair as golden as the sun was in loose curls and I clenched my fist to resist touching her. I breathed in deeply in order to calm my racing heart, but all I could smell was her scent - peonies.
"Nate let me down!", Naja seemingly unaware of the biggest moment in my life demonished me.
However, I did not even hear her as I finally realized that all that had felt wrong in my life finally seemed right. Just by looking at her I felt my world change, making her the center of it.
I felt as light as a feather. She made me forget all my worries and troubles.
"What are you doing with mommy?", Max had come outside too and questioningly looked at his mother and me.
My eyes were still locked with her baby blue ones and I instantly noticed the pain and agony caused by Max' words and before I could utter a word she was suddenly gone.
"Wait!", I screamed out. She could not leave, not when I had just found her.
Finally my muscles seemed to work again. I hurriedly set Naja on her feet again, but before I could rush after her someone stepped in my way.
"Get out of....", I started to shout at him. Could he not see that the meaning of my life just vanished? I could feel my wolf rising to the surface and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Nobody stood between me and my mate. However, when my eyes locked with my mirror image I could not seem to end my sentence. I was once again frozen in shock.
"Uncle Nate, why's there two of you?", Max wanted to know from beside me and this was when it finally clicked.
I had a twin.
My twin hesitated, but a blond one stepped in for him, "She mistook the situation."
Something about him seemed familiar, blond hair, dark blue eyes, the face structure and then it struck me, he was her brother.
Confused by his words I thought about the situation she had first seen me, but all I could think about was Naja...My eyes widened. To a stranger it had probably looked like she was my girlfriend or wife and when Max had run outside and had wanted to know what I was doing with his mother it had probably sounded like we were a family consisting of father, mother and child.
Feelings of desperation overwhelmed me. Had I already fucked everything up? No! I could not let this happen! So I did something I had never done before, I pleaded with them to help me, "Naja's just my sister and Max my nephew. She's the only one I want. How can I find her? I have to tell her!"
I could feel my wolf wanting to take control and rush after our mate and for a moment I thought about leting him take control.
However, then my twin gently put his hands on my shoulders and strangely my wolf calmed slightly down and I could think clearly again.
