Chapter 38
Queen Lyna’s Pov
It’s still hard to believe that it’s her, my former human servant that was never half
beautiful as I am. She is now a stunning,
skilled warrior that dazzles even the most powerful of kings. My heart is at risk of exploding with envy.
I should have kept her here where I could watch and limit her progress. Now I cannot even convince my own husbands to order her execution. Luckily I have my own foolish mate to do the job for me.
I rush back to my room and put on a more attractive dress, one that hides at least half of my swells and red marks. I have never had to walk while in so much pain before. But anger and desperation fuels my every move.
With all the marks on my skin I do not look nearly as beautiful as she does, But I step outside the palace in search of Rumulus anyway.
I find him training in the palace training grounds, cursing while hitting the curved wooden sculptures with a fake sword.
“Why won’t she like me instead?” He questions himself and strikes the sculpture harder, his movements expressing range.
It must be me he is speaking of. I am his mate. But I love my powerful husbands instead of him. He must be broken hearted just like I am.
Doesn’t that also mean that he would do anything for me?
I march forward with confidence and he finally acknowledges my presence.
“You have left your bed early, don’t you think?” He asks after turning around and observing my appearance.
“Something truly horrible has happened.” I tell.
His eyes fill with concern. Or is it curiosity. I cannot certainly tell but I know he cares. “What happened?” “Miss Hangings is my former servant, the one I told you about. The mate of the angel kings.” 1 hastily respond. The warrior appears confused as he shakes his head. “Did that fighter hit you in the head?” He asks with a frown “No of course. My servants told me everything. Miss Hangings took of her veil and everyone recognised her face!” I yell. “What?! That cannot be!” He gasps and stumbles back in shock.
“Yes it is. And my husbands have refused to get rid of her just like you said.” 1 inform.
My mate falls silent for a very long moment, appearing despondent.
Why is he so appalled? He didn’t know my servant Keira before she got lost. All he should care about is killing her.
“She is the mate of the angel kings? Why didn’t they recognise her as soon as she returned here?” He questions
“They rejected her before she stole my diamond ring and disappeared at night” 1 answer.
He sighs and smiles. “What is it did you want?”
“Same thing as before. I want you to kill her before she ruins my marriage.” I answer impatiently.
He huffs like he is disappointed. “I already told you that killing Miss Hangings or any other woman that your husbands may like will not make them love you again. They will in fact hate you more.”
I shrug my shoulders, feeling helpless, I cannot sit back and watch her win, a former servant with no royal blood.
“Did you get the secrets I asked you to steal?” Rumulus asks.
“No of course, I am injured, remember?”
“But you’re out here. Why not focus on finding what we agreed instead of worrying about Miss Hangings? It’s getting difficult
ty vou” He says
it not to worry about my biggest enemy. But my mate is right, finding the most valuable secrets of the kings will help me more.
I find
“I couldn’t get into the old queen’s chambers, but I heard my husbands talking about something I have never heard before.” I informs recalling the little I heard before interrupting their discussion
What did you hear?” My mate questions.
“They were talking about making wishes and… Deadstone.” I answer, hoping that he finds it important
You mean they were speaking of wishes and Dreamstone?” He questions.
Yes, yes. That was it.” I affirm. And they also spoke about their mate making whatever wish she wants. But I didn’t exactly understand what they were speaking of 1 add
But I nod anyway I do not want to seem totally useless when Keira has been winning fights in the arena.
I like the parrot but I will have it returned to the kings as soon as my friends leave. I don’t want to owe them anything.

Chapter 38
“The angel kings may have been mean to you at first, but I assure you that they are not evil people. Michael says while hist girlfriend nods in agreement.
“Could you
you at least
accept to make a blood promise with them so that they can get rid of queen Lyna?” Margret requests.
I shake my head. I am yet to tell them about Dreamstone and the wish that their kings wants me to make. It is the only reason they want me. Because unlike Queen Lyna I can make wishes for them, I can help them retain their powers.
“I need time to think about it.” I genuinely respond.
I must think about whether to completely ruin my life by marrying my arrogant mates. If I do I will save thousands of lives that would die in battle. But I will be stuck in an awful marriage, just like my former Mistress who cannot serve the they needed her for.
purpose
*Hope you decide to stay.” Margret says, rising from the bed. “I have more meals waiting for me to serve. So I must go now.” Her mate stands as well.
“You’re free to come visit the big palace library since you’re no longer the unwanted human servant.” Michael offers before following his girlfriend out of my guest room.
I stand after they have left to go find a servant to take the colourful parrot back to the kings. Ezra is left picking up the remnants of the delicious food, ensuring that not a piece goes to waste.
People openly stare at my face as I walk down the hallway. I imagine they were expecting a hardened face of a fierce warrior, but I noticed that my eyes are still uniquely huge, giving me a permanent look of innocence. I am also sure that they are curious to see if I am indeed Keira, the former human servant of their evil
queen.
I finally step out on a balcony and I start scanning the palace grounds for an idol servant I can send
“You’re more beautiful than I even imagined.” I voice startles me from behind. I turn my head to see Rumulus walking forward to stand beside me on the balcony.
