But there is a twist. I go to Jason and Rose goes to Austin then we both head to the middle of the ballroom and start dancing, waltz style. Then we swap back to our normal mates for the rest.
We arrive at the double doors and my stomach drops. This is not my best skills, I do have stage fright unless I have Austin.
We stand side by side facing the door when the music starts playing on the inside, my hear stops and my whole head spins.
But before I can run the double doors swing open and Rose starts to walk in. Not wanting to look stupid and weak I quickly follow suit.
There are hundreds of people here, I mean hundreds. Alphas and Lunas all more experienced than me, I feel so little as their eyes lay on me.
Deep breaths I think to myself, Rose and I nod to each other then head down the staircases. I spot Jason who is smiling at Rose then my eyes turn to the bottom of the other set of stairs.
Austin's warm eyes are glued on me as he beams widely at me. A extra large grin finds it way into my lips as I blush and then away.
When I finally reach the bottom I feel less nervous as Jason takes my hand in his and leads me to the middle of the dance floor.
I ignore the eyes that I know are basically all on me as I am the newest Alpha female here.
"You look gorgeous Maia." Jason says with a smile as he takes my hand and waist, I follow by placing my free hand on his shoulder.
"Thank you, you are looking handsome Jason." I say making him smirk. We start to dance around the room in perfect time, occasionally crossing paths with Rose and Austin.
The music plays softly while the audience watch with delightful eyes. My eyes are trained on either Jason or the floor.
"Time to switch." Jason whispers as we start circling towards Rise and Austin. The males spin us with one hand then the other man catches us.
Warmth radiates through my skin as soon as Austin touches me, I lean into him. His hand is soft but firm on my waist showing his possessiveness. I look up and meet his eyes.
Suddenly nobody else is in the room. It's just him and I, spinning to the slow music around the ballroom. He spins me and picks me up beige placing back down seconds later.
"You look absolutely breath-taking." He whispers in my ear as his warm breath fans my neck, I surprised my urge to kiss him then and there.
Soon the music slows and we come to a halt side by side with the other couple. The men now as Rose and I curtesy, the audience bursts into a fit of applause and I grip Austin as they all walk towards us.
I think it's the time we are suppose to chat with everyone.
I follow suit and put the marshmallow over the fire, when I think it's done I place it on the square of chocolate and place it in my mouth.
"Jess." Al shouts heading towards us. Rose instantly stands up and puts her him and in front of her.
"Females only." She says crossing her arms "Last time I checked you were a male so go find them."
Al frowns at Rose then turns to Jess, "it's time to go babe."
Jess stands up but doesn't move, I only then realise her eyes are on something else. All the males are behind Al.
"What's going on?" Rose asks as we all stand up, I stand up slowly feeling my stomach twist and turn.
Jason steps forward with a grim look on his face "we had a rogue attack while we were walking along the edge of the boundaries."
All the ladies gasp and run to their mates, Jess holds Al's face in his hands and Rose hugs Jason closely. I watch each male and female closely trying to find my own mate.
