Noah's POV

Something has intruded into my territory. To say it's my territory may be a bit biased, it's an abandoned town. My territory is not so "rustic". In fact, this is where I rest. This town is eerie and quiet, and vampires are free from the influence of other creatures. For example, werewolves.

I don't have any good feelings towards such savage and smelly creatures as werewolves. It's not just because a large portion of our kind were slaughtered to extinction by werewolves during the last great war. To be honest, I don't even care what happens to those lower bloodlines. It's mainly because they act in a very different way than we do.

I had my men retrieve the creature that had trespassed on my territory. A big white wolf, if before, I would have thought of using her fur as a rug.

But I'm not in my gulag right now. And I have an interview with a wolf pack alpha soon. I don't want any other family vampires to know about this, the old guys will make fun of me until the day they turn to dust. A vampire leader secretly meeting an Alpha of a wolf pack, we are both crazy to make that decision.

However, I was never the "normal" one in the family, and the Alpha of the wolf pack. I've heard some legends about him, and he's even crazier than I am.

If the werewolf in front of me was sent by the other Alpha, she is a threatening means for me. When I caught this werewolf just now, she made many of my men seriously injured. As a vampire who has lived for hundreds of years, I have rarely tasted such perfect blood. Was she really just a werewolf? I had never smelled a werewolf so good. None of my proudest control could stop my teeth from slowly elongating.

But my sanity made me let go of the girl, whose wounds were healed by my saliva. The girl looked very puzzled, it seemed she didn't know much about vampires. This is just one of the abilities of a pure-blood vampire.

Her looks and blood were too much for my liking. If the girl is an Alpha, I should ask him for the girl. If she wasn't, it would be much easier. This black collar matches her long, thin neck perfectly.

Estelle's POV

"What are you talking about?"

Pets? Vampires are really not normal, I've heard the spooky stories. Vampires would lure beautiful human virgins home. Then keep them as a mobile blood bank, and when they get bored, the girl will be drained of blood and die. But I'm a werewolf! I've never heard of a vampire taking a werewolf home with him. We usually simply kill each other.

Noah was silent for a long time, as if he was lost in thought. That's when I felt the MATE connection, Lance's anger coming like a gale from the other side of my spirit. Then the biting metallic smell of silver sage lingered in the tip of my nose.

Noah also sensed the arrival of this imposing Alpha and, amidst the hubbub outside the door, he had his underlings open the door.
