After a refreshing shower, I was already feeling much better and more upbeat. When I sat down at the table for breakfast, I felt my stomach growling with hunger. We had breakfast laughing and chatting about everyday things, while Enzo secretly fed Cinnamon under the table with small pieces of everything, as if we couldn’t see him.

I had gone through something horrible the night before, but being there surrounded by those three showering me with attention and affection, trying their best to make me laugh, was like a balm for my neartragedy. It was so good to have them around, and it greatly improved my mood.

“Sam, what do you think about having lunch at the club? Just the four of us?” Henry suggested, and I liked the idea.

“At the Social Club?” I asked.

“No, at the sports club. The restaurant there is excellent, and it has an integrated green area. I think it could be nice,” Henry insisted.

“I think so too. Let’s go,” I agreed.

The kids also liked the idea, and it would be something different from what we usually did, which pleased me. The sports club was a beautiful place, with a huge green area where everything blended with nature. There were many sports and recreational activities that could be practiced there, plus a spa, restaurant, and café.

The restaurant was indeed magnificent, surrounded by greenery, and next to it was a small natural waterfall, embedded in a rocky wall, making a relaxing sound – a well–preserved natural wonder in that corner. We chose an outdoor table where we could appreciate the surrounding nature.

“Still not tired of this troublemaker, sweetie? You even brought your nephews to have lunch with her.” Ah, but it was not possible that that bitch Isabella already found us here. I snorted in anger.

“Watch how you speak, Isabella. I’m not in the mood to put up with your little jokes,” Henry was serious and even irritated. “When will you understand that she’s not right for you?” Isabella questioned.

“Oh, really? And who is right for him? You?” I wanted to wring that tramp’s neck, but I didn’t have the energy for it.

“Marriage? Oh my God! Can’t you see? Don’t you realize she’s trapping you with a baby? She’s just a gold digger!” Isabella raised her voice.

“Listen here, you miserable creature, I’m not like you and your little friends who make up wild stories to trap men,” I stood up and faced her. “Now, if I were you, I’d stay far, very far away from me, because next time I catch you, I’ll turn your face inside out.

“What, are you running away? You coward! Don’t have the guts to face me?” I took another step toward her.

Isabella, as if remembering something, took a step in my direction When she stretched out her arm to touch me, Henry stepped in front of me.

‘Are you really thinking about attacking a pregnant woman, Isabella?” Henry spoke loudly, keeping me behind him.

“But, sweetie…” Isabella whined, and I wanted to make her swallow her tongue.

“No buts, Isabella! Enough! This is tiresome, it’s stressing me out, it’s gone too far. Stay away from us, stop following me around, and most importantly, don’t come near Samantha in any way.” Henry sounded threatening.

The club security approached, and Henry informed them that Isabella had intended to attack me, so she was removed from the premises and we could return to our lunch.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the club, and it was very fun.
