She has multiple wires hooked up to her giving her what she needs. I sit in the chair next to her bed and pass Grace over to Ivy so I can hold Clare. I take her small hand into mine and kiss it. I look up her arm to notice what looks like claw marks. Werewolves heal quickly however, laced with silver the damage leaves scars or if you wolf is weak death.

I let out a low growl running my fingers along the marks. It is than that I start to notice other silver scars against her pale complexion. My wolf is whimpering at the site of our broken mate. I catch site of her mark that once used to belong. I run my fingers along it wondering who would do such a horrible thing to a person. To remove a mark is heart breaking weather it your mate or not. I hear soft sobs and I turn around to see my Luna crying for my mate.

"Come on Ivy. I think it will be best if we left Conner alone with his mate for a bit." I bow my head in respect to Felix thanking him. I watch as they take Grace out the room leaving me with my mate.

I don't know what to do. She is like glass, so fragile just waiting to break. It saddens me to see my mate like this but I also admire her spirit that she has not given up yet. Deep down I know that if it wasn't for her child, Grace, she wouldn't be here. I want to keep her close and protect her, but I know that won't be happening.

I saw and smelt her fear when I lost my temper. I saw how she flinched away from my touch or anyone's touch for that matter. I saw how she was always alert for danger and ready for a chance to run.

I am not going to force her to stay. I don't want her to leave but I am not going to force her to stay either. I know that if she wants to leave I will let her and her daughter up with everything they need starting with money, food, clothing and a place to stay. I won't have my mate ever to have to sub-come to the conditions she was living in before, I know that much.

I know that when she wakes up she is going to freak. I don't want to leave her side but I don't think me being here when she wakes is going to help her. I kiss her forehead gently before I leave my mate against the wishes of my wolf, who is screaming for me to go back.

The consistent beeping noise has kept me company for the last few days. That is all I hear. Is beep, beep, beep. I once heard Grace but my eyes open wouldn't open for me to see her. My wolf for the first time in days has contacted me telling me that everything is fine. She is the person who understand me best. So if she tell me everything is alright than I believe her.

I scramble off the floor and run into his welcoming arms.

"I am sorry, please forgive me. I am sorry. I love you Derek." He runs his hand along my back calming me and my wolf. We both know we are not mates but we love each other and that is all that matters. Your mate is the person who you are destined to be with. It is the person that knows and understand you the best. Most people don't find there mates because the world is so big so they settle down and mate the people they love.

Derek and I have yet to mate. The mating process is simple he will bite me and I will bite him then completing the process by actually mating. He wanted to wait until I turned 16 and I am counting down the days until my birthday.
