"Calm down. Now!" He growls and I bow my head in respect. Felix stays on me for a second longer before he gets up giving me a helping hand. We both sit back down and I take a deep breathe closing my eyes briefly.

"Will it hurt her?" I look to see the doctor shake his head.

"It will leave a mark on her the same way it would on your mate. The one on Grace will fade a lot more than your mate mark." I nod my head knowing I will need to talk to Clare.

"I will have to talk to Clare when she wakes up." The doctor sighs and shakes his head.

"The sedative that we used will keep her out for the rest of the day, I am afraid that Grace doesn't have that long." I sigh and tears escape my eyes. I want to save Grace but I am scared that if I do Clare will never forgive me for marking Grace. I know if Grace died it would ruin Clare, she would never be the same again. Weighing out the options I know what I need to do.

"Ok. When do we do it?"

Clare

I slowly opened my eyes sitting up looking around the white room that I was in. I was still in my clothes and I rubbed my arm where the needle had been. I swing my legs off the bed and walk to the window to see the dark sky and the half-moon light up the sky. The door to my room opens causing me to jump in shock. A female doctors walks in with a smile on her face.

"How are you feeling Clare?" I shrug my shoulders not sure what I am feeling. I just want my little girl in my arms safe.

"Do you mind if I have a seat?" I shake my head and she takes a seat on the end of the bed and I sit down with her.

"Is Grace ok, please tell me!" My panic being to build in the pit of my stomach.

I smile at how they look together. Grace looks healthy and I glad that she is fine. I slip off my shoes and walk around to the other side of Grace. I don't know what compelled me but I lie myself carefully next to Grace. I am not tired so I watch. I run my fingers through her hair thinking about how close I came to losing her. I kiss her forehead and pop myself up on my elbow. I look away from Grace over to Conner who is sleeping peacefully. His left arm is wrapped around Grace while his right arm is resting against his stomach.

His dark brown hair has fallen across is forehead with the ends just touching his eyes. I stare at him and memorise his beautiful face. I memorise even plane on his face, every line that makes him Conner. I admire his lips and how soft they felt on my cheek. I lean over and brush the few hairs off his face. He doesn't stir or wake up but I don't mind.

I settle into the bed laying my head on the pillow. I don't sleep and I am fine with that but I do watch both my daughter and mate and hope that one day we can all be happy.

Conner

Waking up I feel at peace with myself. I slowly open my eyes and give myself a fright when I see Clare sleeping next to Grace. I try to remember if I put her there but the last thing I remember was putting Grace to bed with me. I look down at Grace to see her curled up next to me fast asleep, looking as healthy as ever. I brush a few curls that have fallen across her face and she brings herself closer to me.
