"Everything is fine Alpha. There is nothing wrong, I love Derek and he loves me. You can tell my parents that they don't need to worry about me I am fine and I am happy with Derek." I force myself to smile even though my body is telling me to tell him everything.

"Is everything alright over here?" I feel my body stiffen when I feel Derek snake his arm around my waist giving a tight squeeze.

"Everything is fine Derek. The Alpha was just asking how I am doing and I was telling him how much I love you." I smile up at Derek hoping I don't get punished for talking to the Alpha.

I look up at the Alpha to see a frown on his face. Derek smiles at him and tightens his arm bruising my hip. I want to wince in pain but I keep my face blank and make sure I force a smile.

"Well I hope you have a nice talk but we need to go and get back home. Remember that you need to cook dinner and wash my clothes for tomorrow." I smile up at Derek in a loving smile even though I am cringing inside.

"Well I better let both of you go. If you ever need anything Clare don't be afraid to ask." I can hear the double meaning behind what he is saying and I hope that Derek doesn't pick up on it as well. As we walk away Derek leans down in my ear and whispers.

"What the hell did you tell him?"

I wish when I saw the Alpha then that I told him everything. I wish I had been brave enough to stand up for myself before everything became so much worse. I am still crying as I climb out of the bed taking out the IV out. I wipe my eyes and mask my emotions like I have done so many times with Derek.

I walk out the room and into the lounge room where I find Grace with the twins.

"Hey Clare. Are you alright?" Karen ask and I put a smile on my face.

I keep kissing Graces head as we both cry together. I can no longer hear or see anything. I no longer have control over my body as one idea is set into my mind. I must leave this world. That one driving force that is controlling my body and emotions. I stand up wiping away my own tears before wiping away Grace's. I walk back into the house on auto-pilot. I am glad no one comes up to me because I am in such a daze I wouldn't even register that they are there. I walk into our room and I place Grace on the bed. I kiss her head whispering how much I love her.

"I love you Grace. Be strong and remember I am doing this all for you so you can have someone who can be a proper mother to you. I have cared for you in my womb and for the last year but it is not enough for you. You don't understand now but I hope one day that you do." I give her one last lingering kiss before I pull away chocking on my own tears.

"Momma, no." I take a step back as she tries and climbs off the bed. "No, momma." I keep walking backwards giving myself as much time to look at Grace for one last time.

"No momma, pwease." Grace is crying and trying to find her way off the bed but she can't.
