"Mate." I watch as fear clouds her eyes as she scrambles away from me.
"No." no wait what. When a child started to cry my gaze shifted to the child in her arms. I watched as my mate tried to calm the child down and my gaze flicked back to my beautiful mate.
"Mate." I growled again coming closer to her not noticing how Felix is standing right behind me. She kept whispering no over and over again. It broke my heart to see her like this. What really got my anger was the scar on her face. This caused my wolf to come out at the sight that someone had harmed my mate.
"You don't want me." I yelled slamming my hand on the table next to me. I regretted the moment I said it when I stumbled back because of her fear that was surrounding her. It broke me not only to see my mate conveying so much fear but her child had just as much fear coming from her as well.
"Answer me." I demanded when she stayed silent. I watched as he bowed her head and slumped her shoulders. No. I wanted to get on the floor right then and there and beg her for my forgiveness at the sight of her submitting to me. My wolf was shaking trying to get out and claim my mate.
"Conner calm down. You are scaring the living shit out of her." Felix says and I try to calm myself down. I feel Felix place his hand on my shoulder using is alpha status to try and calm down my wolf.
"Why don't we get you two settled in. I can have some clothes bought in for the both of you. Ivy can you take them to a guest room. Conner come with me." I followed Felix walking away from my mate. Felix lead my into his office and sat me down. Once I had managed to cool down I ran my fingers through my thick hair.
"Sorry alpha I didn't mean to lose control." I look up to see he is smiling shaking is head.
It does make sense why she reacted the way she did when I said she was my mate. Ivy walks into the room and straight into Felix's arms. I cannot help feel jealous at the bond they have. I cannot stand to see them all mate like so I get up and leave.
"Where are you going Conner?" Felix ask as I reach the door.
"For a run." I leave the house and shift into my dark brown wolf and run through the territory. By the time I come back I am exhausted and my wolf is happy. Somewhat. I walk to my room and my mates scent catches me. I stop in front of the room she is staying in and contemplate if I want to go in. my wolf is telling me to go and see our mate so I open the door and quietly as I can. When I entre the room a small light illuminates the room creating a eerie feeling to the atmosphere.
As I approach the bed I notice my mate sleeping with a small child curled into her. I stand over the bed looking down at my mate and pup. I brush some of her hair odd her face and feel the tingling sensation of the mate bond. She sighs in content as I gently stroke her cheek. Noticing the raised skin under my fingers. I move my hand away to see a silver scar running from her nose to her cheek. My wolf growls causing y mate to stir in her sleep. I stop with my hand hovering over her face waiting for her to settle back down. I look down at my mate and notice her small child slowly opening her eyes. Her brown gaze falls straight onto me making my heart skip a beat. The little girl frowns at me before blinking her eyes. She stares at me with confusion and wonder before snuggling back into her mother before falling back asleep.
