I sit on the edge of the bed and brush a few curls away from the little girls face and I cannot help but smile. I didn't notice anyone else in the room until Felix whispered my name.

"Conner." I looked from my sleeping angles to my alpha making his way over to me. He looks down at my girls and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Tomorrow I think you should send them both to the pack doctor for a check-up." I nod my head in agreement and my wolf seems to agree with me. We both sat there watching my mate and her daughter before leaving her room. I walked over to my room before saying goodnight to my alpha.

"I think she is going to need time Conner. I can tell from looking at her that she has been through a lot. You will need to be patient with her." Felix leave me and I enter my cold room wishing that my mate was lying next to me.

When I woke in the morning I was surrounded by white sheets. At first I was confused to where I was until I remembered I was in a pack house. I got very little sleep last night but that was nothing new. I looked to my daughter to see she wasn't there. I started to panic and climbed out of bed looking for her.

"Grace where are you?" I sniffed the air and could tell her scent only just lingered, meaning she hasn't been here for a while. Panic started to build up in my chest as I became frantic trying to find my daughter. I ran out my room following her scent trying not to stumble over my own two feet. I noticed her scent and went down stairs becoming more worried by the second. I swear I closed my door last night. I followed her growing scent to find her sitting in the lounge room staring at the toys in front of her wondering what to do. It was then that I noticed Conner sitting on the floor showing her what to do.

"Mama." She bubbled looking up and me. I ran over to her picking her up kissing her all over her face.

"I thought I lost you." I kissed her head before making sure she was ok.

"I was wondering if you would be able to tell me your name." He ask so gently it makes my heart hurt. I am brought from my thoughts as I look at him.

"Clare. My name is Clare and this is Grace." My voice is a whisper and I am surprised he even heard me.

"Clare." He test the name on his tongue and smiles at me. I look away from him and glance around the place. Grace has lost interest in the ball and is crawling around the room looking at what is around while Conner and I sit on the floor looking at each other.
