"Yes mom." He says grumpily before leaving the room, I sigh in frustration. Honestly why did he have to land in my custody! My parents died about 4 years ago.

Suddenly the doors swing open and two guards burst in rather out of breath.

"Alpha!" They say trying to catch their breath.

"Yes, what's happened?" I ask standing up and around my desk so I'm in front of them.

"The school sir, there was an accident and a student during science lit a lighter and it made everything blow up. The teacher, Mr. Green, was injured and taken to the infirmary. Most students are out in the yard safe but there is a student stuck in the classroom."

My heart stops and I take no time to sprinting towards Mr Green's classroom. I have a heart clenching feeling it's my mate.

Maia.

My wolf is being so stubborn, all she wants is Austin. Thanks the Lord I can block her out otherwise my mood would worsen.

I've been so stressed out today thinking about everything. The helpful notes, my early parents actually being alive but putting me in that orphanage and school.

Physics is so boring. Mr Green keeps falling asleep in his chair, he needs to retire he is ancient. But I don't know.

Louis is talking to Kaitlin while I stare at the board. I break from my trance and look around, my eyes flickered to Chase the schools bad boy who is a cigarette and smoking.

I scowl at him, does he realise how fucking dangerous smoking is plus having a lighter in a physics classroom. I look away and notice something strange, the floor around the desks were wet.

I bent down and put my finger in in then brought it too my nose, gasoline. Shit. What's going on?!

Suddenly the window was opened and a stick that is set ablaze is thrown in hitting the gasoline. Everything instantly went up into flames.

Mr Green got caught in the flames while making everyone leave. Someone passes me pushing me down, I rolled onto the floor.

Everyone was out of the classroom, I noticed Louis carrying Mr Green before the door shut. I couldn't move, the fire was around me.

I had no escape. I coughed violently as the smoke burned my lungs, choking me. Well I would suffocate before burning, that's good. Not.

The fire touched my skin making me cry out in pain but I could make a noise. My lungs were closing up due to the smoke.

I coughed violently again before placing my top over my mouth. The classroom door opened and I saw Austin but Jace and Dylan were pulling him out forcefully.

Austin POV:

I pace the infirmary waiting room as I wait for word from the doctor of Maia who is being checked on by the doctor. I don't know how she is and I don't know what happened.

I'm not the only one here though, there are loads of people here. I know them all but I've never spoken to them but something tells me that if they are friends with Maia then I will be friends with them.

Louis Williams is sitting with his head in his hands, I know him to be her closest friend and she has told me he is like a brother to her.

Christian Orlando and Lizzie Kent are sitting in each other's comforting embrace as they are mates.

Jace is sitting with his eyes shut and his foot tapping on the floor while Dylan talks to him, trying to distract him.

Tyson, who was in the infirmary healing, had come down fully healed and is leaning against the wall. Every once in a while he would run his hand though his hair.

Kaitlin James and Nate Spencer, mates, were sitting chatting but I could see the worry in their faces.

My heart swelled with joy because of how many grinds my mate has made in only a few days of arriving here. I was surprised but even my brother popped in for five minutes to see if she was okay before making a quick exit.
